According to Turki Al-Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Fatwa and Sharia Research Sector, the Zakat Al-Fitr amount for this year will range from 1 Kuwaiti dinar (KWD) to 1.5 KWD per individual. This range is determined based on the current value of staple foodstuffs in Kuwait.

The Ministry further clarifies that Zakat Al-Fitr is obligatory for all eligible Muslims who possess wealth exceeding their basic needs. The obligation extends to dependents and those legally entitled to support, including spouses, parents, and children. It is important to note that Zakat Al-Fitr is not obligatory for domestic workers unless specifically donated on their behalf.

The designated timeframe for fulfilling the Zakat Al-Fitr obligation falls between dawn on Eid al-Fitr and the commencement of the Eid sermon.
