WhatsApp has rolled out a new update that allows users to share voice notes as status updates that are up to one minute long. This doubles the previous limit of 30 seconds.

This update makes it easier for users to share longer thoughts, updates, or stories through voice notes on their WhatsApp statuses.

Here’s how to post a voice note on your WhatsApp status:

1. Update WhatsApp to the latest version.
2. Open WhatsApp and go to the Status tab.
3. Tap the pencil icon to create a new status update.
4. Select the microphone icon at the bottom right corner.
5. Record your voice note (up to one minute long).
6. Preview and edit your voice note (optional).
7. Share your status update.
