Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works (MPW) has announced an intensified focus on addressing urgent road repairs across the nation. This initiative directly responds to citizen feedback regarding road conditions and prioritizes the improvement of critical infrastructure.

MPW teams are actively conducting inspections of roads flagged by citizens and implementing necessary repairs. The initial phase prioritizes immediate solutions, including pothole and crack mitigation, as well as general road surface improvements. All repairs adhere to established Ministry standards and specifications to ensure quality and safety.

While larger-scale maintenance projects for highways and internal roads are currently undergoing regulatory approvals, the MPW emphasizes its commitment to immediate solutions for critical road issues. Upon completion of the regulatory process, the Ministry will announce comprehensive maintenance projects through the Official Gazette. These projects will encompass various regions and involve in-depth road repairs.

Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, has directed the MPW to prioritize prompt responses to citizen concerns. This proactive approach demonstrates the Ministry’s dedication to enhancing public infrastructure and directly addressing the needs of the community, Al Jarida reported.
