The dominant Riyadh-based club demolished their domestic rivals, Al Ittihad, 2-0 in the second leg of their quarter-final clash, advancing on a convincing 4-0 aggregate score. This historic win not only secured their place in the next round but also shattered the previous record for most consecutive wins by a top-flight team, previously held by Welsh club The New Saints with 27 victories in 2016.

Boasting a rich history in the competition with four previous titles, Al Hilal are the most decorated team in the Asian Champions League. After finishing runners-up last season, they seem determined to reclaim the throne. Second-half goals from Brazilian forward Malcom and Yasser Al Shahrani sealed the deal for Al Hilal, adding another chapter to their extraordinary winning streak.

Their next challenge comes in the form of UAE’s Al Ain, who secured their semi-final spot after a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. The highly anticipated clash between Al Hilal and Al Ain will take place next month.
