This event represents the highest recorded precipitation totals in the UAE’s modern climatic history, exceeding all data collected since 1949.

The NCM anticipates potentially even greater rainfall amounts in the coming hours. As of this report, the highest measured rainfall occurred in the Khatm al-Shukla region of Al Ain, accumulating 254.8 millimeters within a 24-hour period.
