The first Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging conference begins

Kuwait City: According to local news paper KUNA, Dr. Ahamd Al-Awadhi, the Minister of Health, stated on Thursday that the new Al-Farwaniya Hospital and Kuwait Cancer Control Center would be launching with the latest integrated hybrid imaging technology in nuclear medicine. The minister mentioned that this was the first of its kind in the Middle East and the Gulf, referring to the recent introduction of the first device of this kind at the recently built Al-Jahar Hospital.

Minister Al-Awadhi declared that it was a “new era” during the beginning of the three-day Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Conference, stating that Kuwait would become the medical leader with the installation of three such equipment. He gave his complete backing and confidence. In addition to reiterating his desire to stay current with emerging technology in this field, he offered his complete support and faith in the medical staff’s ability to operate these devices in accordance with the highest international standards.

Dr. Abdulredha Ismail, the chairman of the Health Ministry’s Nuclear Medicine Department Council, stated that the ministry is keen to advance scientific knowledge and draw in the top specialists from around the globe in order to share ideas and offer the newest technologies in the field of diagnosis and treatment. Kuwait is now leading the Gulf and the area in nuclear medicine as a result of this.
