Residency Violators Urged to Act Before Amnesty Ends

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) is urging anyone residing in Kuwait illegally to take advantage of the ongoing residency amnesty program. The program allows violators to either rectify their legal status or leave the country without penalty by June 17th.

The MoI warns that failing to act before the deadline will result in “legal accountability.” This includes ongoing arrest campaigns targeting residency and labor law violators. Recent operations have resulted in the apprehension of 68 individuals across Farwaniya Governorate, Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Ahmadi, and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates, reported Arab Times.
