KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has announced a significant reform to its police investigation services. Effective tomorrow, Sunday, May 19th, a new shift system will be implemented to ensure 24/7 investigator availability across all governorates.

This initiative, spearheaded by His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, aims to streamline procedures and enhance support for both citizens and residents.
Key Elements of the New System:
- Extended Evening Hours: Investigators in all police stations will now work extended shifts, ensuring their availability until 10:00 pm daily. This extended coverage aims to address the needs of those unable to visit stations during regular business hours.
- 24/7 Availability in Select Stations: For critical situations and immediate case handling, designated police stations in each governorate will have investigators available around the clock, every day of the week. This ensures a prompt response to urgent matters.
- Increased Duty Stations: The Ministry plans to expand the number of operational police stations, further improving accessibility and efficiency in law enforcement services.
