Municipality Quickly Extinguishes Fire at Waste Site
Kuwait City, Kuwait: The Kuwait Municipality successfully extinguished a fire that broke out on Sunday at a waste site south of the seventh ring road. Municipal firefighting equipment was readily available and deployed to contain the blaze.

According to Mohammad Sandan, Director of the Public Relations Department, the high temperatures combined with flammable materials at the site likely caused the fire.
Sandan also highlighted a recent surge in waste removal across Kuwait’s governorates. Over the past two days, crews collected a staggering 568 tons of rubble and waste, a 400% increase compared to the usual amount of 100 to 150 tons. He noted that much of this removed waste was flammable and exceeded the capacity of the waste site, reported KUNA.
