MEW Encourages Debt Repayment, Announces Summer Conservation Incentives

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy is urging citizens to settle outstanding electricity bills as private housing debt fluctuates between 125 and 130 million dinars daily.

The Ministry aims to collect outstanding debts, which totalled 500 million dinars last year, through various channels. These include installment plans and online services to facilitate debt repayment and reduce the need for in-person visits.

With summer approaching, the Ministry is also promoting electricity and water conservation efforts. Customers who reduce their consumption can receive rewards through the Ministry’s incentive program.
