One key provision involves mandatory health assessments. Doctors exceeding 65 will now undergo medical evaluations every two years. Additionally, the regulations establish specific practice settings for different types of practitioners. General practitioners, for example, can continue working in various locations like emergency departments and outpatient clinics, though some specialized surgeries may be excluded. Dentists with general practitioner qualifications are authorized to practice in private clinics, hospitals, and health centers, but must adhere to specific outlined conditions.

The Ministry is also implementing supervision requirements for certain titles. Medical professionals with designated titles can only practice within the private sector under the watchful eye of licensed training institutions. This ensures continued learning and upholds quality standards.

Furthermore, to advance to higher technical levels, doctors must fulfill continuing medical education (CME) requirements endorsed by the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialties. This commitment to ongoing learning ensures doctors stay current with the latest advancements in their field.

The regulations also establish a formal grievance process. Applicants now have the right to file complaints within a designated timeframe, with final decisions made by the Undersecretary. Finally, the Ministry is working to achieve consistency in title qualifications across both government and private healthcare sectors, taking into account experience in specific specialties. This standardization will improve transparency and ensure patients receive qualified care regardless of the healthcare setting.
