The Amiri Order, as reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), stipulates that this designation will be valid until the appointment of a Crown Prince. The Prime Minister is also tasked with ensuring compliance with the Order and informing the National Assembly. The Order becomes effective upon publication in the official gazette.

This appointment follows the recent formation of a new government, with Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah designated to lead its formation. The Amir’s absence and designation of an acting Deputy Amir are likely temporary measures.
