Kuwait: The Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) held a prestigious ceremony at its headquarters in Monaco on Saturday to honor the 2023 season’s world champions. Among the celebrated athletes were two Kuwaiti racers, Yousef Al-Abdulrazzaq and Fares Ramadhan, who secured impressive victories in their respective disciplines. Their achievements in the 2023 season brought not only pride to Kuwait but also recognition on the international stage.

Al-Abdulrazzaq reigned supreme in the aqua-bike championship, achieving the number one ranking in the overall season standings. He further cemented his dominance by setting a new world record for the fastest time to win the GP1 division title. Following the UIM ceremony, Al-Abdulrazzaq expressed his satisfaction with the recognition and unwavering commitment to bringing future glory to Kuwaiti water sports.

Ramadhan, on the other hand, made history by becoming the first ever Kuwaiti to clinch the world title in moto-surfing. He conveyed his gratitude to the UIM for the recognition and dedicated his victory to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait.
