“This is a huge moment for Kuwaiti fencing,” said Hamad Al-Awadhi, Secretary and Chairman of the National Teams Committee of the Kuwaiti Fencing Federation. Al-Awadhi explained that Al-Shamlan’s impressive performance not only secured his individual qualification but also maintained his position within the top 29 fencers globally, a key requirement for Olympic participation according to the International Federation of Fencing.
