The revised system implements three distinct work arrangements for administrative and technical staff, aligning with Civil Service Commission Resolution No. (3) of 2023 governing work hours for government agencies. Faculty and their supporting personnel will maintain their current schedules.

Prof. Al-Dhafiri underscored directives from the national leadership emphasizing administrative reform and improved productivity. KU will achieve this through a commitment to designated work hours alongside a newly implemented flexible fingerprint system.

This system empowers both male and female staff with greater autonomy over their schedules, streamlining workflows and facilitating task completion. Prof. Al-Dhafiri highlighted the shift in focus from rigid structures to prioritizing employee presence and productivity, mirroring a broader trend towards adaptability within Kuwaiti institutions.

KU takes pride in its pioneering role among government entities. The flexible system reflects their forward-thinking approach, designed to address employee challenges and optimize administrative processes.

Beyond increased flexibility, the system aims to reduce the administrative burden associated with attendance procedures and mitigate potential penalties for extended work hours. By embracing these progressive measures, KU establishes itself as a leader in fostering innovation and adaptation within the Kuwaiti educational landscape, reported Arab Times.
