Kuwait to Host 26th Gulf Cup from December

Kuwait: The Kuwait Football Association (KFA) has confirmed a revised schedule for the upcoming 26th Gulf Cup. The tournament will now kick off on December 21st, 2024, and conclude on January 3rd, 2025, in Kuwait. This replaces the previously announced dates of December 13th to 26th.

This prestigious regional football competition will see Kuwait serve as host nation for the fifth time, following successful tournaments held in 1974, 1990, 2003, and 2017.

Kuwait enters the event as the defending champion and record holder with a remarkable 10 Gulf Cup titles. They are poised for a strong showing, but will undoubtedly face fierce competition from regional rivals Iraq (4 wins), Saudi Arabia and Qatar (3 wins each), Oman and UAE (2 wins each), and Bahrain (1 win).

The revised schedule offers football fans across the Gulf region ample time to finalize their plans and prepare to witness this highly anticipated tournament unfold in Kuwait later this year.
