Kuwait to Celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Wednesday

Kuwait City, Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Sharia Sighting Board convened this evening to observe the crescent moon marking the beginning of the Islamic month of Shawwal. Following their deliberations, the Board has officially announced that the crescent moon was not sighted.

This confirmation signifies the conclusion of Ramadan in Kuwait on Tuesday, April 9th. Consequently, the joyous Eid al-Fitr celebrations will commence on Wednesday, April 10th.

The announcement adheres to the established lunar calendar for Islamic holidays. Eid al-Fitr is expected to be a four-day public holiday in Kuwait, extending from April 9th to April 13th. This extended break will facilitate gatherings and festivities for residents to mark the occasion.
