Kuwait International Airport Anticipates Busy Summer Travel Season

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in Kuwait is preparing for a significant increase in passenger traffic at Kuwait International Airport this summer. The DGCA forecasts approximately 5.57 million passengers to transit the airport between the beginning of June and mid-September, accompanied by an estimated 42,117 departing and arriving flights.

Abdullah Al-Rajhi, Acting Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport, and Aviation Security at the DGCA, announced the projections in a recent press release. Al-Rajhi also highlighted the expansion of seasonal destinations offered by Kuwaiti airlines, including Malacca, Trabzon, Sarajevo, Bodrum, Nice, Sharm El-Sheikh, Vienna, Salalah, Antalya, and Krakow.

While these new routes provide travelers with a wider range of travel options, Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Istanbul, and Doha are still expected to be the most popular destinations.
