Special arrangements were made at polling booths to accommodate the observance of Ramadan. It is marking the second time in the state’s history that general elections have been held during this sacred month. The first instance was during a by-election in December 2000.

This election sees the participation of around 200 candidates, including more than ten women, vying for seats in the National Assembly. A total of 50 members will be elected to the Parliament, with each constituency having its quota of representatives based on the number of votes received.

As Kuwait awaits the election results, the outcome will undoubtedly shape the country’s political landscape and governance dynamics in the years to come.
