To ensure only qualified engineers work in Kuwait, the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) and the Indian Embassy are joining forces. A key element is a new online platform for recruiting engineers across nationalities, verifying their credentials against set criteria. Following recruitment, accreditation procedures and exams will ensure adherence to Kuwaiti standards.

This collaboration tackles the issue of unapproved engineering practices. The KSE recognizes India’s National Accreditation Board (NBA) and the global Washington Accord. The Indian Embassy acknowledges past issues but highlights a decrease in unaccredited Indian engineers thanks to prior collaboration. To further strengthen ties and explore advancements in Indian engineering education. The Embassy has invited the KSE to visit India’s Ministry of Higher Education. This comprehensive approach signifies a commitment to a more streamlined and effective accreditation process for international engineers in Kuwait.

This collaborative effort is expected to yield several positive outcomes. By implementing stricter accreditation procedures, Kuwait can ensure a more qualified and competent engineering workforce, ultimately leading to higher quality engineering projects. International engineers seeking to work in Kuwait will benefit from a clear and streamlined process for obtaining accreditation, facilitating their transition into the Kuwaiti job market. Most importantly, this partnership signifies a strengthening of relations between Kuwait and India, fostering cooperation in a critical professional field.
