Coordinating Qatari And Kuwaiti Efforts On Astronomy Data
Kuwait: The Qatari Calendar House and the Al-Ujairi Scientific Center have reached an agreement to coordinate special efforts between Kuwait and Qatar pertaining to astronomical scientific data, the Gregorian calendar, and the Hijri months.

Engineer Youssef Al-Ajiri, the director general of the center, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday that the two parties recently met in Doha with the aim of unifying the calendars of Kuwait and Qatar as well as the data for the entrance of the Hijri months.
Al-Ajiri revealed that both calendars are getting ready to launch an ‘Al-Ansari and Al-Ajiri’ smartphone application. The application will target users in every city on the Arabian Peninsula and will highlight the two calendars’ well-known features, which include omens, signs, and informative content. Additionally, each city’s privacy regarding its seasons and vocabulary will preserved by the calendar.
