The biggest award of the night, Best Picture, went to Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated biopic “Oppenheimer,” a chronicle of the life and work of “the father of the atomic bomb.” The film, praised for its visual effects and powerful performances, dominated the awards, also winning Best Director for Nolan and Best Adapted Screenplay.
