Al-Babtain Burn Center Successfully Treats Over 10,000 Patients in 2023

Kuwait City, Kuwait: The Saud Abdulaziz Al-Babtain Center for Burns and Plastic Surgery (Al-Babtain Burns Hospital) announced it treated over 10,000 patients and performed more than 1,600 surgeries in 2023. The announcement comes alongside news of the center’s successful workshop on complex facial plastic and reconstructive surgeries. The workshop featured collaboration with renowned international plastic surgeons, fostering knowledge exchange and showcasing Kuwait’s advancements in the field.

“The center recently concluded a workshop…during which it hosted a number of the most prominent plastic surgeons around the world,” said Dr. Muhammad Khalaf, consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon and head of the department at Al-Babtain Burns Hospital.

This collaborative effort focused on examining patients and performing advanced surgeries, while also presenting the latest scientific advancements in plastic and reconstructive surgery. The workshop served as a valuable platform for sharing expertise and demonstrating Kuwait’s leading role in burn treatment and plastic surgery.
