According to Dr. Fahd Al-Murad, Deputy Director General of the Labor Protection Sector at PAM, the shelter aims to assist male expat workers facing issues with their employers. The facility will provide them with accommodation, address their needs, and even help them return home if necessary, reported Arab Times.
This announcement comes alongside two other workforce-related developments in Kuwait.
- Online “To Whom It May Concern” Certificates: The PAM is launching an online service for issuing “To Whom It May Concern” certificates. These certificates will confirm a company’s compliance with labor laws and allow them to participate in government tenders.
- Increasing Kuwaiti Employment in Government Contracts: New regulations aim to boost the number of Kuwaiti citizens employed through government contracts. The initiative seeks to create more job opportunities and enhance job security for Kuwaiti nationals in the private sector.
