Security Company Under Fire for Inhumane Employee Housing in Kuwait

Mahboula, Kuwait: A security company in Mahboula Block 1, located behind Nesto Supermarket, is facing criticism for providing abysmal living conditions to its employees. The company reportedly houses its workers in an eight-story building where each floor has four rooms, each crammed with a staggering 12 individuals.

These overcrowded rooms are further burdened by a single, shared kitchen for the entire floor, equipped with only eight gas cylinders. This raises serious concerns about sanitation and safety, with residents reportedly voicing complaints about the unhygienic and inadequate living arrangements.

Workers have described the conditions as “substandard” and “inhumane,” raising questions about the company’s treatment of its employees. The news comes amidst a wider conversation in Kuwait regarding the treatment of expatriate workers and the enforcement of housing regulations.
