Schengen Visa Fees Increased
Kuwait City, Kuwait: Travelers to Europe will soon face slightly higher costs as Schengen visa fees are set to rise by 12% starting June 11th.

Previously, adult visa applications cost €80, while children aged 6-12 paid €40. Under the new structure, these fees will increase to €90 and €45 respectively.
The European Commission attributes this adjustment to inflation within member countries. Despite the rise, Schengen visa fees remain lower compared to other popular destinations:
- UK visa: starts at €134
- US visa: around €185
- Australian visa: around €117
Schengen visas grant holders the ability to travel freely within the Schengen Area, encompassing 26 European countries, for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. This makes it an attractive option for short-term visitors.
