The Kuwait Meteorological Department reported a sweltering temperature of 47 degrees Celsius today, significantly contributing to the surge in electricity consumption. Exceeding the load index can strain the power grid and lead to potential blackouts.

Kuwaiti authorities may urge residents to conserve energy during peak hours to ensure a stable electricity supply throughout the summer, reported Al Jarida.
