The three-lane tunnel funnels traffic towards Kuwait City, with the opposite direction slated to open soon. This project aims to significantly improve traffic flow in the area by developing a total of seven kilometers of roads. The plan incorporates three tunnels, five ground-level bridges, a flyover bridge, 23 bus stops, and seven pedestrian bridges for improved pedestrian safety.

This development is a welcome relief for residents and drivers who have long contended with congestion on Cairo Street. The authority’s dedication to infrastructure improvements promises a more efficient and streamlined transportation network within Kuwait City, reported Al Jarida daily.
