This tunnel, situated under the Second Ring Road and connecting Daiya, Al-Dasma, Al-Mansouriya, and Al-Qadisiyah, marks a significant development in the ongoing Cairo Street project.

The three-lane tunnel funnels traffic towards Kuwait City, with the opposite direction slated to open soon. This project aims to significantly improve traffic flow in the area by developing a total of seven kilometers of roads. The plan incorporates three tunnels, five ground-level bridges, a flyover bridge, 23 bus stops, and seven pedestrian bridges for improved pedestrian safety.
