The focus of the recent campaign lies in private housing areas within the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. The initiative, titled “House of a Life Without Violations,” emphasizes public awareness alongside strict monitoring and enforcement.

Engineer Muhammad Al-Marri, the building supervisor for Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality, highlighted the campaign’s multi-pronged approach:

  • Raising public awareness: Educating citizens on the importance of adhering to building regulations and obtaining proper licenses.
  • Monitoring violations: Identifying properties that deviate from approved plans.
  • Issuing warnings: Alerting property owners about violations to allow for rectification.
  • Taking legal action: Pursuing legal measures against persistent violators.

The campaign underscores the shared responsibility of property owners, engineering offices, and contractors throughout the construction process. Al-Marri emphasized that exceeding the approved building scope is the most frequent violation, leading to project suspension and legal consequences.

Over 130 properties have been flagged for violations since the year’s beginning, with property owners notified and reports filed for further action. The recent campaign in Funaitees identified unauthorized additional floors, prompting a halt in construction and warnings for rectification.
