40,000 MoE Staff Fail to Submit Academic Certificates
KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: A significant number of employees at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education (MoE) have reportedly failed to submit their academic certificates for verification. Reliable sources within the Ministry estimate that over 40,000 staff members haven’t complied with a directive issued in February by the Civil Service Commission.

This directive requires all MoE employees, regardless of nationality, to submit documentation for any qualifications obtained beyond high school since January 2000. The reasons behind the non-compliance remain unclear, but speculations point towards potential concerns about certificate validity.
The Ministry, in collaboration with the Civil Service Commission, is taking steps to address the issue. A comprehensive review process is underway, with meticulous examination of existing credentials and outreach to non-compliant staff. Individuals have the chance to explain their delay and submit missing documents through designated channels.
The directive encompasses all levels of higher education, including bachelor’s degrees, graduate diplomas, master’s degrees, and doctorates. The Ministry and the Civil Service Commission are also working to identify potentially fraudulent certificates.

This initiative aligns with broader government efforts to verify the academic qualifications of public sector employees and eliminate instances of forged documentation, reported Arab Times.
