Major Road Closed for Repairs this Weekend
KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: Drivers heading towards Jahra from Kuwait City this weekend be advised! The Gamal Abdel Nasser Road tunnel will be undergoing repairs, resulting in a temporary closure for 48 hours.

The closure will begin at dawn on Friday, May 24th, and remain in effect until dawn on Sunday, May 26th. To minimize disruption, traffic authorities will implement a diversion plan.
While the tunnel is closed, two lanes will remain open in one direction, with one lane closed for repairs. Drivers are urged to be cautious and follow all posted signage during the closure.
The General Authority for Roads and Land Transport (GART) is collaborating with the General Traffic Department to ensure the repairs are completed swiftly and safely, reported Al Jarida daily.
