Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous, the Director-General of the Municipality, directed departments to implement a three-pronged approach: identifying violations, issuing warnings, and finally removing illegal structures. The campaign targets unlicensed car awnings that exploit public parking areas.

The crackdown will extend to car sheds in schools and other government agencies in subsequent stages. This comprehensive effort reflects the government’s commitment to upholding the law and maintaining order across various sectors.

The campaign began with the removal of 51 unauthorized car shades – 45 from Hawalli and 6 from Mubarak Al-Kabeer. This decisive action demonstrates the Municipality’s resolve to enforce regulations and promote a well-managed parking environment for the benefit of the community.
