Kuwait Pledges Improvement for Expat Workers on International Labor Day
Kuwait City, Kuwait: In a show of support for workers, Kuwait reiterated its commitment to upholding and improving labor rights during a seminar held on May 1st, International Workers’ Day.

The seminar, organized by the Sheikh Saud Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute alongside several international organizations, highlighted Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to create a fair and equitable work environment.
Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah, emphasized Kuwait’s adherence to human rights principles, including worker protections enshrined in the country’s constitution. She pointed to Kuwait’s participation in International Workers’ Day as a symbol of this commitment.
Sheikha Jawaher also underscored Kuwait’s proactive approach to international collaboration on worker well-being. The country has signed agreements with 21 nations and 19 international organizations focused on combating labor rights violations and promoting fair practices.
The seminar served as a platform for Kuwait to reaffirm its dedication to advancing worker rights and fostering a supportive work environment for all, reported KUNA.
