Kuwait City, Kuwait: Data from Kuwait’s Central Bureau of Statistics reveals a rise in consumer price indexes (inflation) by 3.17 percent in May compared to last year. This inflation increase is attributed to spiking prices in key areas like food, clothing, and education.

The food and beverage index witnessed a significant 6.6 percent increase in May 2024 compared to May 2023. Clothing and apparel prices also saw a rise of 5.6 percent year-on-year, reported KUNA.
