76 Flights to Operate During Hajj Season
Kuwait International Airport will be a hub of activity with 76 flights operating for the departure and return of Kuwaiti pilgrims. The airlines involved include Kuwait Airways, Jazeera Airways, Saudi Airlines, and Flynas.
Dedicated Facilities for Pilgrims
To expedite the travel process, airport authorities will allocate special counters for pilgrims, increasing their number to handle the surge in passengers. Additionally, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will set up dedicated offices to provide medical services and guidance to pilgrims before their departure.
Collaborative Efforts Ensure Smooth Operations
The DGCA is working closely with various airport agencies, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the General Administration of Customs, representatives of Hajj expedition offices, and ground service providers. These regular meetings ensure a well-coordinated plan for pilgrim movement, right from their arrival at Kuwait Airport to their arrival in Makkah.
Positive Impact for Pilgrims
These measures by the DGCA are expected to significantly improve the travel experience for Kuwaiti pilgrims embarking on their holy pilgrimage to Makkah.
