- New Camping Area: A camping area will be established in the northern part of Kuwait, providing recreational opportunities for residents.
- Improved Infrastructure: The committee approved requests for rainwater management solutions, including open basins, and channels. Also underground connections, in the Nawaf Al-Ahmad residential area.
- New Mosque: A mosque and parking lots will be built along the Jahra Expressway, serving the growing community.
- Enhanced Traffic Flow: New entry and exit points will be established along Road 80 in the northwestern part of Jahra to improve traffic flow.
The committee also deferred decisions on several other proposals. This includes the construction of a canteen for the Kuwaiti Dairy Company. Also the allocation of parking for the Jahra Equestrian Club.
Strengthening Construction Standards:
In a separate meeting, the Municipal Council’s Practice of Engineering Professions Committee approved a proposal to improve construction quality. Engineering firms will now be required to include a clause in their contracts with property owners, guaranteeing adherence to construction specifications. This will benefit all parties involved by ensuring the use of high-quality concrete and resolving any issues early in the construction process.
These initiatives aim to improve Jahra’s infrastructure, public services, and overall quality of life for residents.
