This action comes after a recent fire in Al-Mangaf that tragically claimed 49 lives. The Municipality is intensifying its “search and remove” campaign to address the illegal dumping of scrap and unwanted objects. Landlords are urged to cooperate and follow relevant regulations.
Previously, the Municipality warned residents against dumping old furniture near buildings. Violators face fines under the Municipal Law. This initiative aims to prevent similar fire hazards. The Municipality has already removed over 64 tons of old furniture in Al-Ahmadi Governorate and 568 tons of scrap from commercial areas nationwide, reported Al Rai daily.
