Ministry Activates Electricity Supply for New Airport Terminal

Kuwait City, Kuwait: In a significant milestone for the new Kuwait International Airport project, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy successfully activated power supply to Terminal 2 (T2) this Tuesday morning. This crucial step, undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works, marks a major advancement towards the airport’s upcoming operations.

The activation involved powering up two main electricity stations that will supply T2. These stations, equipped with a total of 24 feeders operating at 11 KV voltage, were brought online after thorough inspections and necessary procedures were completed.

MEW elaborated that the activated stations will provide power to a network of substations built by the Ministry of Public Works. Ultimately feeding electricity throughout the new airport facilities.

This successful energization of T2 signifies a significant leap forward in the development of the new Kuwait International Airport. The project is poised to significantly enhance the airport’s capacity. Also to elevate passenger experience upon its completion, reported Al Rai daily.
