PART Starts Bridge Repairs on Fourth Ring Road

Kuwait City, Kuwait: The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport (PART) announces the commencement of repairs on expansion joints on bridges along Kuwait City’s Fourth Ring Road. This project, overseen by Engineer Khaled Al-Osaimi, Director General of PART, follows directives from His Excellency Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs.

Prioritizing Driver Safety and Infrastructure Maintenance

The repairs address a critical aspect of road safety and infrastructure integrity. Extension joints play a vital role in mitigating stress on bridge structures. Also their proper maintenance ensures a smooth and safe driving experience for motorists.

“The repair of these bridge joints on the Fourth Ring Road reflects PART’s ongoing commitment to maintaining Kuwait’s vital transportation network,” stated Engineer Ahmed Al-Saleh, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works and PART. “These repairs are a crucial element of our comprehensive strategy to ensure the safety and longevity of our roadways.”

Nationwide Maintenance Efforts

The Fourth Ring Road project is part of a broader initiative by PART to address highway maintenance needs across the country. The Authority is currently finalizing contracts for further repairs on various roads, including the Jahra Expressway.

Technical Expertise and Planning

The repair process will involve the removal and replacement of damaged extension joints using specialized techniques overseen by experienced Ministry personnel. To minimize disruption to traffic flow, PART has conducted thorough surveys of the affected areas. And implemented temporary measures where necessary.
