The Municipality approves 18 sites for setting up spring camps

The Camping Sites Study and Update Committee has identified 10 sites in Jahra Governorate, compared to 8 in Ahmadi Governorate, in its meeting today, Wednesday, as part of its preparations to complete all preparations and arrangements for the 2024-2025 spring season.

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality announced that the committee has officially approved the locations authorized for setting up spring camps: 7 in the north of the country, 7 in the south, and 4 in the center, bringing the total number of locations permitted for camping to 18.

It was also decided to reduce the number of permitted sites from 23 sites for last year’s camping season to 18 sites for the new year, which begins in mid-November, after cancelling 6 sites, 4 of which are in the south of the country due to their proximity to the Arifjan camps, where camping is prohibited, in addition to a site near the Kabd warehouses due to the lack of approval from the Environment Public Authority, and a site opposite the Al-Oyoun area in Jahra due to its proximity to residential areas.Stay updated on Kuwait’s latest news and job openings by following our WhatsApp channel! https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCkXo25q08jnKrRwo27

They revealed the provision of 14 sites designated for cooperative societies, 8 of which are distributed in the north of the country and 6 in the south, to establish central markets for selling food and camping supplies, in addition to recreational areas to serve the owners of spring camps.

They confirmed that applications from camp owners will be accepted starting from November 15th of next month via a QR link on the official website of the Kuwait Municipality to issue temporary licenses after paying the fee of 50 Kuwaiti dinars and the insurance amount of 100 Kuwaiti dinars via “K-Net”.
