Kuwait Hit by Power Outages as Temperatures Soar
Kuwait City, Kuwait: Large parts of Kuwait experienced power outages today due to a combination of high temperatures and increased electricity demand. A key power station shut down due to strain, leaving over 40 areas without power. The Ministry of Electricity is working to restore service, with an estimated timeframe of 2-4 hours for the power station to be brought back online.

Emergency response teams have been deployed to address malfunctioning transformers in residential areas, which were also impacted by the heatwave. Areas including Yarmouk, Al-Oyoun, and Farwaniya experienced disruptions attributed to overloaded transformers on the electrical grid.
